Beacon Hill at Eastgate is the result of a multi-phased, multi-decade repositioning effort to transform a 50-year-old  health care provider into one of the Midwest’s finest Life Plan communities. Initial-phase construction began in 2009, and consisted of 114 independent living apartments, a new commons building, and renovations to the existing assisted living and healthcare facilities. Beacon Hill quickly established itself as the leader in its market through the provision of fine dining and hospitality.

Phase 2 quickly followed with the addition of 56 more independent living apartments, along with an auditorium, garden café and other enriching amenities. Additionally, their dated nursing home was replaced with a boutique, 29-bed health care center.

Greenbrier continued to collaborate with Beacon Hill on the development of a third phase of their repositioning, which included the purchase and demolition of an adjacent office building, making way for 26 high-end independent living apartments called the Vistas at Beacon Hill. Phase 4 planning is currently underway, with the key objective of replacing the original assisted living buildings.

Through all the complex financing, land acquisitions, sales and marketing efforts, construction and planning, Greenbrier Development continues to serve as Beacon Hill’s strategic partner.
